I can assure you that I share in this school community’s dedication to caring for our students every day while providing them with a meaningful, safe learning environment. Although I am an educator, I am also a wife and mother. I have been married to my high school sweetheart for 30 years and have three amazing children. My husband’s name is Rodney, and he has been working in the private education sector for the last 20 years. My oldest daughter’s name is Courtney (28), and she is going to Glendale Community to earn her degree in Fine Arts. My second daughter’s name is Jennifer (24), and she is going to Glendale Community College and ASU to earn her degree in Nursing. My one and only son is Joseph (23), and he is going to ASU to finish his degree in Business & Accounting. The 2023-24 school year will mark my 21st year in education. I have served as a 6th grade teacher in the Marana Unified School District for 9 years, where I served on teacher evaluation committees, was a grade level lead, was the Student Council Sponsor and coached middle school basketball. I then moved on to the charter world for 10 years, and am very excited to be back in the traditional school district. I am honored to be a part of the Deer Valley Family. I love the Bellair Community, teachers, students and all of the families that choose to send their child/ren to our wonderful school! I can’t wait to celebrate our successes throughout the 2023-2024 school year.
